Didactic eye diseases and treatment:
Glaucoma is a disease in which the eye’s optic nerve gets damaged resulting in loss of vision. Most common form is open angle glaucoma. In the recent research it was found that stem cell secretions called exosomes, tend to protect cells in the retina hence can help preventing glaucoma. In case of age related macular degeneration, central vision of eye gets blurred. Age related macular degeneration effect the macular region of eye which obstacles the clear vision in activities like reading, driving etc. Uveitis is an inflammatory disease which creates swelling destroying the tissues of eye. It will result in loss of vision slowly. A systemic procedure is being designed recently to make IOL implants to treat uveitis.
